Fan video "I am Guy of Gisborne" (Robin Hood BBC) edited on a circa 2005 G4 Mac Mini with 1 GB of RAM (the maximum this Mini would hold). At the time I made this video, the Mini was less than 2 years old.

The thing I remember about editing this video was that rendering some of the effects did take a while. (And as you can see, it had a lot of effects! LOL.) But that was the way it was, and it didn't bother me that much at the time.

I edited this video with Final Cut Pro 5, but all the effects (overlays, textures, keyframed motion) can be done in any version of Final Cut Express. The textures were made in Adobe Photoshop and imported as JPGs, which I then placed in a new video track over the main video and lowered opacity.

Now that we're in the age of Intel Macs (which I love—they're so fast!) we tend to forget that it wasn't that long ago that we were happy editing with these G4 machines and they got the job done just fine!
